Meet our Principal
Mrs. Rosalba Rodriguez
Dear Castle View family,
It is with great excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of Castle View Elementary School. I am so excited to be your principal! I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such amazing students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a supportive school community. I feel very fortunate to be part of this school and to support the students and families.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for twenty years. I started working at RUSD as an instructional assistant. Once I graduated from the University of California, Riverside, I began teaching in Moreno Valley Unified School District. I was at MVUSD for fourteen years where I taught various grades k-6 and first grade in the Dual Language Immersion program. The last two years I had the opportunity to co-lead as the assistant principal in one of the biggest elementary schools that runs a Dual Language Immersion Program here at RUSD.
On a personal note, my husband and I have lived in Orangecrest for the last four years. My oldest daughter is a Junior at Martin Luther King High School and my youngest will be attending kindergarten in two years. We love Riverside and all that our community offers. We are proud to be part of the Riverside Unified School District, because it values high standards by providing rich learning experiences for all students. This type of student-centered commitment is what motivated me to grow in RUSD and has encouraged me to further my career.
I view education as a life-long process and expect that I will continue to learn much about the uniqueness of Castle View this year and in the years to come. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to unite my experience, my motivation to learn, and my child-centered approach to support our students. Because the relationships between families and the school are vital to the success of our students, I encourage you to become involved in every way possible. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rosalba Rodriguez
Principal
