FAMILY UPDATE
January 28, 2022
Contact Tracing Communication for Families

On January 26, 2022, the Riverside County Public Health updated student contact tracing guidance to include the new Group-Tracing Approach to Students Exposed to COVID-19 in a K-12 setting in alignment with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) K-12 School Reopening Framework and Guidance. RUSD will begin implementing Group-Tracing for students beginning Monday, January 31, 2022.

Contact Tracing Update

  • We will continue to isolate individuals who test positive for COVID-19 and individuals who are symptomatic.
  • Notification of potential exposure to an individual who is COVID-19 positive will be sent to groups of potentially exposed students (e.g., classmates, teammates, cohorts, etc.)

If you receive an exposure notification letter:

  • Your child may remain in school unless they develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19.
  • Your child should get tested for COVID-19 within 3-5 days after the last date of exposure.
  • If your child develops symptoms of COVID-19 or tests positive for COVID-19, please ensure theyisolate at home immediately and notify your child’s school.

As we continue to navigate this pandemic together, RUSD will remain steadfast to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community. If you have questions, please contact your child’s school.
