Principal's Message

My name is Tiffany Farris and I’m thrilled to be the principal of Castle View. I am a Riverside native and a product of RUSD schools. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a BA in Social Relations and a Minor in Spanish and completed my teaching credential and administrative credential at Cal Baptist University. I began my career in education 19 years ago in Puebla, Mexico where I taught English for two years at an American school while I completed my Masters Degree in Applied Linguistics at the Universidad de las Americas, Puebla. I began my career in RUSD as a bilingual teacher for the Newcomer program at Gage Middle School. During my time at Gage, I also worked as the Newcomer Coordinator. In 2006, I was hired as the Assistant Principal for Tomas Rivera Elementary School. After 2 ½ years at Rivera, I made the decision to return to the classroom to be able to spend more time with my children. At that time, I became a Language Arts/ELD teacher at Chemawa Middle School. During my time at Chemawa, I was also a Language Arts Coach and Administrative Designee. I spent two years at Mark Twain Elementary School in the role of Assistant Principal. I consider myself fortunate to have been part of the RUSD community for the past 17 years.
